LI: to separate fact from opinion.
For the last slide of Ihumatao we had to explain what our opinion is and w had to write down three points about why we should agree with the opinion. We also had to write the conclusion of our opinion. My opinion is that they shouldn't build houses on Ihumatao. My three reasons is that Ihumatao is a sacred land, the prices are too high in Auckland for houses and the dead were buried into the ground of Ihumatao.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Mrs Fisi'iahi.

Ihumatao
LI: to identify the main ideas in a text.
For reading this we had to get into our mixed groups, each person has to do one slide for some of the dates for Ihumatao. We had to the dates in chronological order. With also had to had what happened on that day and we had to add some information about what happened on that day for Ihumatao. I learned by doing the dates in chronologicalorder and by writing what happened on that day.

Ihumatao
LI: to identify the main ideas in the text.
Ihumatao is a protest about people fighting for their land, fletchers want to buy the local iwis land to build houses. We had to write how long it would it would take to go from panmure bridge to ihumatao, the relationships to the land the people who were involved in the protest, definitions of words from the protest, what we knew about the protest and what some of the maori words from the protest means. I learned by doing the Ihumatao slides.
