Music DLO

Video - Reading a Book
LI: to create a video of me reading a book to the juniors.
For one of my home learning tasks I chose to do a task where I'd create a video of me reading a book, I chose a Captain Underpants book, but since that it was a bit long I chose to read only two chapters (the book was for the juniors). Tom Moore DLO
LI: to make a DLO about Tom Moore.
For one of my home learning tasks I created a DLO about a person named Tom Moore. Tom Moore is a 99 year old world war veteran, and a person who has raised 15 million pounds in England, the rest of the information is at DLO that you can look at down there.

Anzac Facts
LI: to explain/justify your thinking.
For one of m Anzac tasks I chose to do one where I have to go onto a google slide a find three facts about Anzac and the reasons why I thought that they were interesting. The three facts I chose were, they were all volunteers, there is no town called Gallopoli, the last surviving Anzac died in 2002.

Joining Poster
For one of my Anzac tasks I chose to do a tasks where I create a poster as if we needed people to join the navy. For my poster I added the Maori War cry to bring connection to the Maori side of New Zealand.

Photo Montage
LI: to create a photo montage about the Anzac's.
For one of my Anzac tasks I chose to do one anzac task where I make a montage about the Anzac's, but it wasn't me I had a partner helping me with the work also. We put all the photos on a google drawing and attributed them all, we only put five photos onto the google drawing.

Morse Code
LI: to learn how they communicated in the world wars.
For one of my ANZAC activities I chose an activity where I create a dlo about morse code, (e.g how they used it, what it was etc). Morse code was kind of a language where sounds can be turned into dots and dashes and those dots and dashes can be turned into words/letters.

For the work I chose this week, I chose to do a task where I create an animation about the time lapse of a poppy growing from a seed to a fully grown poppy. Down below you can watch the animation and see the poppy grow.

Division in Parts Strategy
LI: To use the strategy 'Division in Parts' with larger numbers. (3 digit numbers divided by 1 digit numbers)
For maths this week the work I did was to learn a strategy called 'Division in Parts' with larger numbers. I made a copy of a slide that had different questions, but I created a DLO about my understanding of the strategy, after that I created a screencastify to show my understanding of the strategy. Down there you can click on the photo in the DLO to take you to the screencastify I created. Link to video.

Velocity Valley

For one of my home blogging challenges I did some activities about Velocity Valley, Velocity Valley is a adventure park in NZ. For m first activity I had to find out the price for my family to have the 4 ride combo, 2 ride combo and the 8 ride combo, but i couldn't find the price for the 8 ride combo. For my second activity I had to find two activities to do there and why they are the best.

For one of m home blogging challenges I did some activities about the Waitomo Caves, the Waitomo caves are caves in NZ that has lots of glow worms. For m first activity I created a brochure about why I should encourage people to go to the Waitomo Caves. For my second activity I had to compare and contrast the Waitomo Caves to the Luray caverns in a America. For my third activity I created an info graphic about glow worms.

Vector Wero

For one of my home blogging challenges I did some activities on a place called Vector Wero, Vector Wero is a place where people can simulate rafting as if they were in the wild on a raft in a river. For my first activity I created a DLO showing the rules at Vector Wero and why they wear safety equipment. For my second activity I made a DLO about the total price of all of the ticket prices at Vector Wero.

My first activity I had to do was make a DLO about 3 facts about the Taitua Arboretum, for my second activity I had to find out the time to travel to the Taitua Arboretum from panmure in a car and on a bike.

For one of my home blogging challenges I did some work on the Auckland Zoo, the Auckland zoo is a zoo in Auckland where the visitors can learn about the animals there. For my first activity I had to find out the benefits of having a ‘friend of the Zoo’ annual pass. How much is the ‘friend of the Zoo’ annual pass, and how much it would be for my family to have the ‘friend of the Zoo’ annual pass. For my second activity I had to make an info graphic animal of my choice that lives at the zoo.

The Auckland Museum is a Museum in Auckland where people can look at historical artifacts, facts, sculptures, etc. You can also look at cool Lego creations in a specific exhibit. For my first activity I had to go onto the official site of the Auckland Museum and find out what it would be like to be an ANZAC soldier. I also had to find 5 facts about an ANZAC soldier and why they were interesting. for my second activity I had to find out the parade that is held outside the Auckland Museum, I needed to find out when is it and why is it held.
