Making Connections

LI: to make connections to a text.

Today I learned to make connections with your self, texts and the world. Making connections means linking a text to your self, texts and the world. Today I learned to make a DLO (digital learning object) showing what is making connections and how do you make connections. Today I learned by listening to instructions, by working hard and by being focused on my work.

LS1 Olympics

LI: to collaborate and cooperate with people in my team.
Yesterday the LS1 Olympics started. It was the final competition of the LS1 Olympics and it will be the last inquiry for this term, I wonder what is in store for next terms inquiry. In the LS1 Olympics we had a space with chairs surrounded around the space. In the space that's where the competitors do there minute to win challenge. In our group we just got to people to stand on the podium in our team, those people were me and Sandra, Sandra got  gold and I got silver. Yesterday I learned to collaborate and cooperate with people in my team.

Zombies

Writing: On the ninth of april me, the other groups in Mr Wongs writing groups and Mr Wong went outside on the field to play a game that Mr Wong used to play when he was little, the game was called “zombies”.

First when we played the game all the groups got to be zombies and every group got to be humans. When we started I REALLY didn’t want to get tagged because I know that my cousin Oscar will remember this day and mock me. All the groups got timed to see who could tag everyone the fastest and turns out my group had the fastest time!

After all the groups went we had round two, soon when everyone got a turn being humans and zombies Mr Wong was the tagger, he said he just had his lunch so if he puked on us that would be so GROSS. I kept on running behind Mr Wong so he couldn’t see me. I was so scared of getting tagged by Mr Wong because I didn’t want puke all over my t-shirt, but luckily I got tagged by my cousin Oscar.

Finally all that running stopped, and I finally I got to breath .Everyone went inside to talk about what we did. Today we got to learn a new game called zombies.


LI: To write a recount using all the skills that I learnt this year.
Today I learned to make a recount based on the game that we just played called zombies. I learned to do my planning first so that I know what to write in the recount. In the recount I used T.R.E.E (Title, Reveal, Events, Ending). I learned by being focused on my work, by working hard and by listening to the instructions. I learned by playing the game so I can make he recount.

Commonwealth Games

LI: To learn something new about the commonwealth games.
Today I learned something new about commonwealth games. I learned to make a poster about the commonwealth games with my group. Today I learned by working with my team to make the poster. I also learned by watching the commonwealth games on T.V so I could have a head start. We learned by working hard, by being focused on our work.

Anpanman



LI: to prioritize task and collaborate to get the job done.
Today I learned to search up who Anpanman is, where he came from and what does he do, if your wondering who Anpanman is I can tell you, Anpanman is a superhero that has an anpan for a head. For this task I had to get into a group and answer these questions on the slides. We learned by listening to the instructions, working hard and by being focused on our work. We also learned by searching the answers up on google.

Maths

LI:to use standard written form to solve addition and subtraction problems.
LI:Carry out column addition and subtraction up to four digits.
For math's today I learned a new game, if you want to learn the game watch the video above. I also learned how to solve addition and subtraction problems with the standard written form.
I learned to make a video showing how to play the game and I learned to answer subtraction questions with the standard written form. I learned by listening to the instructions, working hard and by being focused on my work.

Homophones

LI: to identify the differences in the meaning between common homophones
Today I learned what a homophone is, a homophone are words that sound the same but they have completely different meanings. On the slides there were homophones and we had put on the pictures, the explanation and attribution. I went onto the google slides that Mr Wong sent us and put on the pictures, the explanation and attribution. I learned by going onto the google slides and putting on the pictures, the explanation and attribution.

Softball

LI:To learn how to play softball.
Today we did something a bit different for kiwi sport, the different things were: Mr Ogilvie taught the kiwi sport and we we just played a proper game of softball. When we played softball I started off at batting, also everyone got a partner so if the batter comes out, the partner of the batter can pitch and when we switch from bating to fielding everyone got a turn pitching, fielding and batting. I learned by playing a proper game of softball.

Kiwi Can

LI: To learn how to use conflict and resolution.
Today for kiwi can I finally know what conflict and resolution means now, conflict means you are have an argument and resolution is to resolve the problem/fix the problem/ to solve the problem. We also play two games, they were called make me and stuck in the mud. The first game that we played was make me, all you need in this game is you and multiple groups, there should be one person the yells out something and the groups have to make it only with your group and everyone has to join in to make it. When I tried this game my group one and my group was going over the top with the things that the person yelled out. The second game is called stuck in the mud, there have to be one tagger and if the taggers tag you you are now stuck, the stuck people try to tag the people but they can't move. I learned by going to kiwi can

Whakatauki

Today for our Whakatauki was, Work alone you will not achieve but with a team you will succeed.
We did this Whakatauki because it fits in our group and we really like it.If we were to work alone we would of not got it done but if we work in a group we all can get it done. It is good to work in a group.My group and I chose that because when ever we have something  that is hard to do for us we always give it a go.

Smart Values

LI: to compare smart values with the panmure bridge school values.
Today for cyber-smart I made a google document with the tables showing my schools values with the smart values. We had to put in the the columns below the my schools value, we then had to explain why we put the smart value in that column.  I learned by getting into a group and working together. We learned by listening to the instructions, being focused on our work and by working hard.
