My Pepeha

LI: To say my pepeha
For this activity I had to write down my pepeha and say it on a video or type it down. My pepeha is a little bit long. A pepeha is speech of who you are, the mountain, river, waka, ancestor ,tribe, marae, and who are my parents. I made the video on screencastify. Pepeha is a way of introducing yourself. It identifies who you are.

Its all in the family

LI: To say if I want to be in a big family or not.
I would rather not be in a big family because maybe I might get annoyed by a lot of people and if were on a holiday we would have to look after LOTS of siblings. Back then family's were pretty big. Actually they had an average of seven to nine children WOW! The parents would've been tired out.

Special Meals

LI: To say whats my favorite meal.
For this activity for the day I had to say whats my favorite meal. I would prefer sausage roles for my favorite food because I like pastry and meat. The way that I cook it is just get some sausage role meat, put it on a sheet of pastry, role it up, cut it, put it on a tray then put it into the oven.

Dream Job

LI: To draw a picture about the dream job I want to have when I grow up.
For this activity I had to draw a picture about the dream job I want to have when I grow up. The the job that I want to be when I grow up is a scientist because then you mite create a new material or a liquid, I like this mostly because you can explore and make new things. While I was doing this activity I was thinking about the possibility's would there be If I was a scientist.

Setting Sail

LI: To write/type a letter to a friend what would it be like if you were on a waka to NZ.
Here's the letter to my friend.
When I was on the waka I was nervous because I left my countries and I'm going to a new one, it was scary but when I finally got to the place I was relieved. It wasn't really hard to write a letter to my friend what would it be like if you were on a waka to NZ.

Three Facts About Maui

LI: To find three facts in the text about Maui.
Today I was doing an activity from the summer learning journey. The activity that I chose was "Maui and the giant fish. The first fact that I found was that Maui caught a massive fish, then his brothers ate it and then over hundreds and thousands of years, those chunks of the fish became the north island as we know today. The second fact is Maui got his jawbone (hook) from his ancestor, Murirangawhenua. The final fact is Maui was skinny back then and his brothers made fun of him. So if Maui didn't get on that boat and catch the fish that means we wouldn't have a north island. Also the Maori name for the north island is Te ika a Maui.
