Figurative Language
LI: to revise the structure of a recount and reaffirm the marking criteria
For writing we had to go onto a slide and learn about figurative language. Figurative language are similes, metaphors, personifications, hyperbole's and understatements. After we learnt about them we got into teams and we did a little quiz to see if we knew what sentence went under in one of the figurative speeches. We then had to write our own simile, metaphors, personifications, hyperbole's and understatements. I learnt by doing this slide show.

Cyber-smart | Smart & Legal
LI: to understand legal use of images.
For cyber smart we were learning about legal and illegal uses of images. We went on a slide show and we had to work on one specific slide. The slide that we had to work on had a green box and a red box, the green box was represented as legal images and the red box was represented as illegal images. In the green box we had to write the definition of legal images, we also had to write down two sites where we could find legal images and we had to give one example of a legal image. Same with the green box in the red box but we had to write the definition of an illegal image, we also had to write down where we could find illegal images and we had to give two examples of illegal images. I learned by learning about legal images and illegal images.

Kiwi Can
LI: to be respectful in the public.
For kiwi can we talked about how we could be respectful to other people in the public. For our energizer we got in to groups of five or four, when we got into group one person from each group was going to be chosen as a leader, the leaders have to go to the kiwi can supervisor to get a challenge, the leaders then have to come back to the group and try to explain what the challenge needed us to do.When we finished the challenges we would do the challenges in front of the other groups. We then had to talk about our strengths and weakness's, basically what we are good at and what we are not good at. For the activity we played a game called "Human Knots", we had to get into two groups and we had to get into a circle. We then had to hold hands with the person that is not next to you in the circle. I learnd by talking about how we could be respectful in the public.

In groups of eight we had to put companies in different categories that they belong to. For an example if we had McDonald's as a business we would put it under the food category because McDonald's serve food. The categories that we had were TV& Movies, clothing, shopping centers, food, technology, toys, miscellaneous, transportation and sport. First we needed to split our group in half and both groups had to put the business's in categories, when we finished we had to compare what we did the same and what we could've changed. I learnt by putting the business's in categories.

Bookmarks
LI: to novel study.
For reading we are doing some novel study but to save the spot were we are reading we needed bookmarks, in doing that we made our own book marks. We made our book marks on a google drawing so we could print them out and cut them, but on the book marks we had to add what we were learning about this year for reading, so my group chose to write down the reading strategies we learnt about. I learned by making my own book mark.

Maths Vocab
LI: to research.
For our maths topic that we are going to be learning about are planes and aerodynamics. In groups of three for maths we had to create a document with a lot of boxes, we then had to put words into the boxes. One side of the boxes would be the definition of the word and the other side of the boxes would be the function of the word, some of the words don't have functions so then the box is just blank. We then had to guess what we were going to be learning about for a few weeks into the term. I learned by working with my group to do the functions and the meanings of the words.

Rap Lyric and Poetic & Vocab builder
LI - Build knowledge of vocabulary, and links words create to the wider world.
This week for reading we made two slide shows, one of the two slide shows was a little game to see if people know the difference between poetic verses and rap lyrics. The other slide we had to build vocabulary by using a template, in the template we had headings to help us what we had to write. The headings were "The label" (the object), the function ( what it does), associations (what it goes with), category (what it goes under), similarities or differences, multiple meanings. I learned by doing the slides with my group.

Math Recap
LI: to recall core skills and knowledge for addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, and place value.
For this weeks math's task we had to recap on what we did this week. We had to recap on our adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, calculating area and calculator perimeter, and fractions. For Adding & subtraction we had to recap time and decimals, with time and decimals we had to recap the strategies we used to do time and decimals. The strategies that we used were basic facts, tidy numbers, place value, repeated addition, rounding and compensating, written algorithm and reversing.
For multiplication we had to recap on our times tables. For division we had to recap on our grouping/sharing. For fractions we had to recap how to identify a fraction and sets of fractions. I learned by recapping of what we learnt for math's this week. We learnt these skills by doing equations and by playing a game called scattergories
