The two games that we played was called up and down, the way on how you play it is there are cones and you compete against others to flip the cones around. The person with the most flipped cones wins. Our activity was called street fighter, we had to follow a certain amount of actions using numbers, e.g. when someone shouts 5 we do a certain action.

Tech Reflection - Making Noises
For tech this week we worked with our mbots once again to finish of a slide about how to code flashing lights into the mbot. After that we made a video about us coding flashing lights into our mbots. After flashing the lights we got onto making noises, and just the same as last time we had to do a slide again about how to use the coding to make noises, a little challenge we chose to do was to make the happy birthday song using the sound coding.

Writing an Explanation
LI: to collaboratively structure and write an explanation.
This week for writing we worked in groups to write an explanation using a plan and an acronym, the acronym was T.I.I.C, the acronym stood for Title, introduction, information and conclusion. An explanation is a form of writing that tells you why or how something is the way it is. Our explanation was about why plastic pollution is a problem for our coastlines.

Kiwi Can
LI: To include and engage others by being sensitive to their feelings
For Kiwican this term our Theme is Positive Relationships and our theme for the next couple of
weeks are Fairness and Fairplay. We first started off by playing our Energizer which was changing
places. We then talked about how fairness and fairplay could go in a game situation. For example you
can be fair to people in a game by having an equal amount of players in each team. We also talked
about what courtesy was. Courtesy is being polite and having manners toward other people.
We also talked about Common sense which is making wise choices. Lastly we talked about
Consideration which is being thoughtful of others. Then all those words come up to Empathy.
Empathy is being all those things we talked about together. We then did a roleplay on Empathy.
Our role play was about a person who got hurt by the other team, while his teams help him up and
the person who hurt him helps him up.

Cricket - Kiwi Sport
Today we had kiwi sport, the sport that we would be playing for the term for kiwi sport was cricket. For our bowling warm up we got into teams of 4 - 3 and we had to hit the wickets with a ball, if you hit a wicket you have to put a wicket through the hole in a cone, there are four cones and the team who has no cones left wins. The next version of this game was the same but the difference was that when you get all cones you have to hit all of the wickets. For our fielding and batting warm up there are three batters, each batter has two balls to hit, once all balls are hit the batters run from where the balls were hit and to a cone, the most amount of runs from one of the batters before the people put back the balls win. The skills we learnt were batting, communication, fielding, bowling and teamwork.

National Current Events
Today we created a map DLO that shows current events around New Zealand. We have 6 national current events in New Zealand. The article we found most interesting, Ardie Savea being banned on tik tok. He was banned from his doctor for dancing when he was supposed to be in bed resting because of his knee. The most shocking article was Southland flooding. Lukah, Acien, Vayan, Afatia, Liletina, Azatulah and I worked as a team to complete this activity.
