For this activity I had to write down my pepeha and say it on a video or type it down. My pepeha is a little bit long. A pepeha is speech of who you are, the mountain, river, waka, ancestor ,tribe, marae, and who are my parents. I made the video on screencastify. Pepeha is a way of introducing yourself. It identifies who you are.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Mrs Fisi'iahi.

Kia ora Lukah!
ReplyDeleteI'm one of the commenters for the Summer Learning Journey. First off, I want to commend you for taking that extra step and recording a video of yourself saying your pepeha. Also, I like how you've done a brief description of the activity, so that the reader can get an idea to what the post is about.
Keep it up!

Hi Lukah,
ReplyDeleteRuby here from the Summer Learning Journey team!
Great work! It's great how you have added a video of yourself speaking your pepeha. That can be harder to do than just writing it down!
It's important to know our pepehas as it allows us to acknowledge our ancestors and I think it also helps us understand a little bit about who we are.
I look forward to reading more of your blog over summer. Keep up the great work!
Cheers,
Ruby.
