LI: to make a nice comment on peoples blog.
Today we had to make to make a comment on other peoples blogs. I blogged on Chris's blog, he talked about Odysseus the warrior, if you want to find out more about Odysseus the warrior, click on this to go on Chris's blog.
We had to follow the four steps on making a good comment, first we had to make a greeting and a compliment, second we needed to connect something with the authors work, third we had to make a helpful comment and last we had to encourage the author
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Mrs Fisi'iahi.

Jet Ski Addition
LI: to learn my basic math's.
I played a game called Jet ski addition, this game was about getting a question right and moving on, if you get it wrong you don't move on, and I won my first game.
I learned by answering the questions, playing the game and by knowing the knowledge first so I can use it on the game.

this week for writing we had to write a recount about a family time that we did in the past, then we had to evaluate it, we had to high light the parts that are the structure and language features of a recount.

WW1
LI: to learn about the causes, conflict & resolution in World War One
This week for inquiry we went onto the WW1 interactive notebook and filed in two of the slides, the first slide was about the new weapons that were invented. The categories were air weapons, sea weapons, and land weapons. We had to have three weapons for each categories. I was in charge of the sea weapons, Lukah was in charge of the air weapons, and Chris was in charge of the land weapons. We had to put photos of the weapons. In the the last box we had to write what the difference was. The second slide was about the battles of world war 1. In this slide their were question and we had to find answers to them by using the websites that were linked in our slides.

Kiwi Sport
LI: to learn how to defend myself by using boxing.
This week for kiwi sport we did a recap of the session that we did last week and we learned how to do two new punches, the two new punches were the upper cut and the hook.
We first learned to do the upper cut and the hook, first to do the hook wind up and pretend there is a cube in front of you, hit the one of the sides of the imaginary cube, also keep your elbow up. To do the upper cut do the same with the hook but just punch the bottom of that imaginary cube.
This session wasn't really good because we had to do three burpy's, but we also learned to move while doing the rock position, if you wanted to move forward while doing the rock position, just make a big step with your front foot and the back foot follows, to move backwards, push off of your front foot and land on your back foot. Also, ONLY use this for self defense.

The people that I was working with was Mojtaba and Chris, Chris and Mojtaba did soccer based questions and I did a game based question. This week we learned by focusing our work, by working our hardest and by listening to the instruction.
