Figurative language

LI: To identify and use different forms of figurative.
Today I learned what the figurative language is and the types of figurative language, they are: Metaphors, idioms, simile, personification and alliteration. This is what they mean, Metaphors is comparing something by using it is, idioms is saying something but no literal, a simile is comparing something using like or as, personification is giving human or animal abilities to an object and alliteration are words the start with the same letter. On the picture there are highlighted sentences this is what they mean: Green: personification, Blue: alliteration, Red: idiom, Orange: metaphor and yellow: simile. I learned by finding two of each of them and highlighting them there colour.
