For one of our tasks for art this week we created a description of our cityscapes, we added in prepositions (Position words: in front, behind, left, etc), prominent, hooks (Something to make the reader keep reading: as strange as it may seem, did you know, etc), and a reflection. Here is my description:
At the center of my cityscape of NYC, there stands the Statue of Liberty, surrounded by lots of buildings. As strange as it may seem one of the metals that the statue of Liberty is made out of is in fact gold, and the gold can be found at the top of the Statue of Liberty. Did you know that the statue of Liberty is a symbol of independence and to represent the friendship between America and France. Not many people know that when the statue of Liberty was built it was mostly made out of copper so it had a copper like color, but when copper reacts to air it makes the copper rusty, so they put a coat of a material on it to keep it from rusting and the coat happens to be the color green. My aim for my cityscape was a sun set so I blended red and yellow. As odd as it sounds the Statue of Liberty was originally designed for the Suez Canal in Egypt, to the right side of America.
