Actvity 7 Week 1 - Illusions

LI: to create an effective illusion.

For my seventh task for the first week of the summer learning journey I was challenged at drawing an illusion. I saw this in a video and I thought it would be perfect to use as an illusion to draw. In this illusion it tricks your brain into seeing two triangles. There is an outline of the triangle and there is an invisible triangle.

Ben here from the SLJ commenting team.

Great work with the optical illusion. Amazing isn’t it how our minds can create something from nothing. I wonder why that is?

Did you get a chance to look at the step it up part of the activity? For bonus points you can record yourself using screencastify, teaching us how to make your optical illusion.

He toki koe! Keep up the good work!

I think that our brains just get tricked into seeing something else. I did not get the chance to do the step it up challenge but I will soon. What is the pointing system for activities, comments and replies?

Thanks for the reply. With the points, you'll receive points for completing a kickstart activity, then more points for doing the step it up activity also and then with any comments that you post, you're able to submit them for points using this form as long as they are a quality comment. A quality comment being something that is positive, thoughtful and helpful.

Cheers, keep up the great work!

  2. Hi Lukah,

Good job for completing your seventh Summer Learning Journey Task. The illusion looks great! I liked the fact that you have drawn it and not traced it our on a google draw because the effects make it look realistic and effective. Why did you choose to draw the design on paper? I have completed this activity and have drawn the design as well. Do you know some interesting facts about optical illusions? Can you tell some?

    Keep up the great work!
