Maori Numbers
LI: to learn about the Maori culture, language, history.
This week for Maori we had to learn about the Maori numbers, we learnt that Tatau meant to count, kore meant zero, Rau means hundred, Mano means thousand and Miriona means million, for an example 1,234,567 in Maori would be Tahi Miriona ma rua rau mano ma te kau ma toru mano ma mano wha ma rau rima ma te kau ma ono ma whetu. We use the same pattern for every number in Maori under 10 million. We used this document to practice our numbers in Maori.
