Whats in a Name

LI: to research about the people who changed the world.
For the second task of the fourth day of the SLJ we learnt that Mahatma Ali Changed his name, since he changed his name for this task we had the choice to change our name to anything, if I were to change my name I would want to change it to Noah.

  1. Kia ora Lukah,

It is lovely meeting you! I am so excited that you are joining us for the Summer Learning Journey 2019-2020. Have you done this programme before?

This is my first year joining the Summer Learning Journey, and I am so excited that I get to read over the Manaiakalani blogs.

I’m really looking forward to summer, aren't you? In my spare time I like spending time at the beach and hanging out with my friends. I also enjoy going for walks and I absolutely love cooking and baking. What are you looking forward to doing this summer?

I liked the way you thought about this activity. It's hard thinking of a different name, right?! I think both Lukah and Noah are great names. When I think about changing my name I can't think of anything... mainly because I can't imagine getting used to a whole NEW name. Imagine someone calling out your name and you don't realise they are talking to you.

Do you think people should be able to change their name if they want to at any time? Or do you think we should keep our given names! Tough question, but curious to know what you think! :)

  2. Hi there Lukah! Noah sounds like a great name, is there any specific reason for why you chose it? Although that name would suit you as well, Lukah sounds just as unique. I'm sure it has a great and very interesting meaning behind it as well. I hope to see you continue blogging!

  3. Hi Lukah!
I liked reading your choice of name you chose. Why do you want to change your name to Noah? Do you think Mahatma Ali should have had the option to change it or not?
    Blog you later!
