LI: to research about the people who have changed the world.
For the last task of the second day of the second week of the SLJ I had to learn about Rosa Parks and how she copped with segregation back then in 1950 - 1960, segregation was the policy where black people didn't have the same equal rights to white people. I had to write the problem, what Rosa Park did about it and what other people thought of what she was doing.
Hi Lukah, this is Mrs Collins from Manaiakalani and I'll be commenting on blogs over term break. Well done on posting and participating in the SLJ this year. I really like the narrative you shared about Rosa Parks but do you know who Claudette Colvin is? Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!
ReplyDeleteHi Lukah!
ReplyDeleteI liked the description about equal rights and how Black people didn't have that. Rosa parks risked a lot for what she believed.
Blog you later!

Hi Lukah!,
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you have been participating in the 2019 to 2020 Summer Learning Journey program. You have a great explanation about what Rosa Parks did about the bus problem. Rosa Parks was a great activist who stood up for her race. Did you find this activity difficult?
Keep It Up!
